In the third quarter of 2022, the turnover of e-commerce sites increased by 16.2% over one year. Internet sales even reached 19.8 billion euros in total, according to the Federation of e-commerce and distance selling (Fevad).
The representative organization of the sector justifies this performance thanks to the upturn in household consumption, but also because of the late date of the summer sales this year.
This change postponed part of the turnover to the month of July.
Added to this is the increase in the number of active merchant sites to 210,830 (+8%).
This represents more than 15,000 additional sites over one year.
